Software Engineer

All levels of experience

(202k-300k) - Chantilly, VA

A master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or additional years of specialized experience in a scientific or technical discipline.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with distributed cross-platform applications, orchestration, and security.
Excellent knowledge and experience of software quality process/assurance, including automation testing, unit/integration testing, design/code review, code profiling and software CI/CD pipelines.
Demonstrated experience working with Agile software development and DevOps practices, such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment.
Experience using RESTful APIs or software development in a cloud environment.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Python, Java, and one or more scripting languages
(e.g. Servlets, Hibernate, Spring, UI Frameworks, Web Services/REST, J2EE).
Knowledge and demonstrated experience with NoSQL and/or file-based storage (MongoDB, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, etc.)
Demonstrated experience with continuous integration/delivery tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Terraform, etc.) or hands-on experience with distributed cross-platform applications, orchestration and security.
Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with data analysis methodology.
Demonstrated experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
Demonstrated experience in technical understanding of Cloud architecture.
Demonstrated experience in client-side technologies (Angular).
Demonstrated experience with Unix/Linux operating system.

Information Systems Security Engineer - SME

12+ years of experience (202k-230k) - Chantilly, VA

Design, develop, and implement security architectures for information systems.
Conduct risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies for identified vulnerabilities.
Coordinate and respond to external organizations to Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, including preparation of System Security Plans (SSP), Contingency Plans (CP) Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
Collaborate with System Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
Integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Work closely with software developers and cloud engineers to integrate security and automation into the software development lifecycle.
Support AWS CloudWatch, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, SPLUNK, or ELK for proactive monitoring, logging, and compliance reporting.
Manage multiple SPLUNK environments and create SPLUNK queries and dashboards as needed.
Participate in security testing, audits, and incident response activities.
Provide security engineering support throughout all system lifecycle phases.
Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies.
